Taxibol is an online cab booking platform in India. Taxibol will serve as a platform that brings together customers and the various taxi operators. I envisage this to become the next MMT (MakeMyTrip) or RedBus for the cabs/taxi industry. Currently there are a number of operators/aggregators that either own cabs (like Meru cabs) or rent cabs (like Ola cabs) and use them under their brand names. This implies that there are a number of operators who aim to grow by aggregating a number of cabs/taxis under their brand name. Thus in a sense, the cab/taxi industry in India is still at the stage that the air travel industry was in the pre MMT era, or the bus travel industry was in the pre Redbus era. India is bound witness this success in the next 5-6 years and the time is just apt for the launch of such a platform in India.
